Gillingham v Peterborough United preview

Gillingham must do without defender Zesh Rehman who serves a one-match ban for the visit of Peterborough.

Midfielder Josh Wright is available again after his two-game suspension, while defenders Ryan Jackson and Deji Oshilaja may be back in contention following respective groin problems.

On-loan Bournemouth striker Joe Quigley is away on international duty following a call-up by the Republic of Ireland Under-21s, but winger Harry Cornick should be involved.

Rory Donnelly comes back into contention, but Head Coach Adrian Pennock is facing a defensive crisis ahead of the game and will give late fitness tests to a number of players.

Chris Herd (knee) and defender Bradley Garmston (hamstring) all continue their recoveries, with Aaron Morris (knee) a long-term absentee.

Marcus Maddison and Junior Morias will be pushing for a start for Peterborough after combining to salvage a 1-1 draw against Oldham on Saturday.

Maddison’s smart cross was headed home by Morias as both replacements sealed Peterborough’s comeback at the weekend.

Leo Da Silva Lopes will also be in the running to start, after taking a seat on the bench on Saturday.

Jermaine Anderson and Gwion Edwards are both doubtful with knee problems.
