Gillingham v Grimsby Town preview
Gillingham v Grimsby Town preview

Gillingham will look to get back to winning ways when they entertain Grimsby Town at Priestfield this evening.

There’s nothing more romantic than supporting the team you love and Gillingham will be hoping to send their fans home with full hearts and three points having lost 2-0 at Mansfield Town on Saturday.

Manager Neil Harris may be tempted into making changes to his starting eleven after a lacklustre display at the weekend.

The likes of George Lapslie and Aiden O’Brien may be handed starts with Will Wright pushing for a place in defence after coming off the bench at the weekend.

A win could see The Gills climb out of the bottom two in League Two with a full fixture list in the league.

Both Crawley Town and Hartlepool United are in the sights of The Gills after they picked up ten points from a possible fifteen in their last five games and they will home to once again have their fate back in their own hands.

Grimsby Town will be no soft touch and will be hoping to break Gills hearts this evening.

They come into the game sitting seventeenth in the league and have had a mixed bag of results in recent weeks.

With a dedicated home support set to ditch a Valentine’s Day date in favour of a trip to ME7, whatever happens, they will be keen to bag three points instead of a box of chocolates or new socks…
