Midfielders Franck Moussa and Navid Nasseri could go straight into the Gillingham squad for the Sky Bet League One clash against Fleetwood.

Moussa, who left Walsall last summer, has joined the Gills until the end of the season following a successful trial.

Nasseri has signed a deal until the end of the season also, but his deal is subject to international clearance.

Scott Wagstaff missed last weekend’s win at Scunthorpe with a hamstring problem, so the midfielder will be assessed. Callum Reilly, signed on loan from Bury, is ready to stand in again if needed.

Midfielder Billy Bingham (broken ankle) continues his rehabilitation, along with long-term absentee Aaron Morris (knee).

Kevin O’Connor could make his Fleetwood debut following his arrival on Thursday. O’Connor, recently in the news after winning one million euros on the Irish National Lottery, has joined on loan from Preston for the rest of the season.

This week has also seen fellow defender Baily Cargill’s loan at Fleetwood come to an end, the 22-year-old returning to parent club Bournemouth before being loaned out again, this time to Partick Thistle. It is unclear what involvement, if any, there is likely to be on Saturday for Bobby Grant, with the midfielder’s comeback from a knee injury being carefully managed.

The Gills have won two of their nine Football League encounters with Fleetwood (D2 L5), with one of those wins coming earlier this season.

Fleetwood have only lost once at the Priestfield in league competition, although it was a 5-1 hammering in September 2015.

Steve Lovell has only lost one of his eight home League One matches as Gillingham manager (P8 W2 D5 L1).

Gillingham’s Tom Eaves has already scored 10 goals in League One this season; his most in a league campaign since 2012/13 when he scored 13 (seven for Bristol Rovers and six for Shrewsbury).

Devante Cole has the best shot conversion rate any player to have attempted at least 25 shots in League One this term (28%).
