Gillingham draw West Ham in FA Cup

On Monday night the FA Cup third round draw was made with Gillingham set to face West Ham United at home.

The Hammers are currently struggling in the Premier League and sit in 13th, just four points above the relegation places.

The Gills made this stage of the competition after needing a replay to beat Sunderland in the first round before an impressive 3-0 win over Doncaster Rovers.

They haven’t beaten West Ham since 2003 with the last two games coming in the Championship’s 2004-05 season.

This stage of the competition sees Premier League and Championship clubs enter the cup with every club winning £135,000 if they qualify for the fourth round.

The tie is set to be played on the weekend of the 3rd to 5th of January.
