Four more rejoin Gillingham Women
Four more rejoin Gillingham Women

Hot on the heels of announcing four players have resigned with Gillingham Women for the 2020/21 season, they have announced another four have done the same.

This time they have announced that Cara Davies, Daisy Monaghan, Ellie Jeffkins and Maddie Farrand have signed on for the upcoming FA Women’s National League – Southern Premier Division season.

Manager Josh Oatham has been working hard to shape his squad for the new season, and to have another four players stay with the club is a massive plus.

Goalkeeper Cara Davies was the first of the four to put pent to paper, and will look to continue her development as a keeper. Davies is no stranger to the Gillingham set-up having been part of the development team in 2019, and having come through the academy set-up as well.

Monaghan and Jeffkins are back for their second season in the midfield, having joined the club from Charlton Women last season. Daisy will be going box to box once again, with Ellie sitting in the holding midfielder and has an eye for that killer pass.

Farrand is a striker who is originally from Canada, and has spent time in the Chelsea youth ranks, and is back with Gillingham looking to add to her four league goals in 12 games of last seasons curtailed campaign.

Gillingham Women’s manager Josh Oatham, was delighted to get the latest four to sign on the dotted line.

In their opening five fixtures of the new season Gillingham Women will have three home games and two away fixtures.
