Foreman agrees short term Kent deal

Kent Cricket have announced that all-rounder Bertie Foreman has signed a short-term contract with the Club on his 22nd birthday, subject to ECB clearance.

A product of the Sussex Academy who currently plays in the NCCA for Bucks Cricket, Foreman is a left-handed batter and right-arm off-spinner, and has impressed during his appearances for Kent’s Second XI this Summer.

He also took part in pre-season training and first-team net sessions alongside being a part of Kent Cricket’s Academy+ Programme at the start of this season.

Foreman will be available for Kent’s first-team in the Rothesay County Championship and Vitality Blast until 19 July.

Kent’s Director of Cricket, Simon Cook, said: “Bertie has worked extremely hard to earn an opportunity in the first-team and deserves this chance to impress further.

“He has attributes that will add more to the squad tactically, providing middle-order, left-handed batting as well as an off-spinning option as we head into the height of Summer.”
