Kent Cricket have confirmed the return of Harry Finch to the Club for the remainder of the Royal London Cup.

The right-hander originally joined Kent as one of the players that came to the Club’s aid during the COVID-stricken 169th Canterbury Cricket Week in July 2021, scoring 115 in Kent’s second innings against his former side, Sussex.

He was then a part of the Kent Spitfires side, dubbed the ‘Kent McSpitfires’, that defeated Middlesex by 77 runs at Lord’s to secure a home Quarter Final in the Spitfires’ victorious 2021 Vitality Blast season.

The 27-year-old went on to make eight appearances for Kent in 2021’s Royal London Cup, scoring 152 runs in seven innings.

He will be available for Kent’s Royal London Cup match against Essex Eagles at Chelmsford on Thursday, following the news that all-rounders George Linde, Darren Stevens and Grant Stewart are unavailable for selection due to injury.

Kent’s Director of Cricket, Paul Downton, said: “Harry showed last Summer that he is capable of making contributions to the team when called upon.

“We’re pleased to welcome him back to Kent to bolster our squad for the remainder of this tournament.”
