Feeney makes major Welling changes

Welling United have announced a major squad overhaul as they look to stave off the threat of relegation.

As well as new manager Warren Feeney, no fewer than eight players have signed for the Wings with five departing.

Previously announced were Taylor Curren and Henry Burnett on loan from Maidstone United and Crawley Town respectively.

Goalkeeper Coniah Boyce-Clarke has arrived on-loan from Reading for the rest of season, while centre-back Ben Margetson, and left midfielder Marcus Sablier, both join on loan from Bromley.

Jamie Sendles-White, a defender, who made his debut at Hampton and Richmond Borough on Tuesday (15/3), was previously at Maidenhead United and Ben Wells, midfield, who also played at Hampton, was previously at Queens Park Rangers.

Former Arsenal and Crystal Palace forward, Alfie Matthews, also comes in on a free.

Leaving the Wings squad are club captain Olumide Durojaiye, Kristian Campbell, Elliott Johnson, D’sean Theobalds and Arthur Penney who has been recalled by Millwall.
