Faversham Town got back to winning ways and their promotion push back on track with a workman like performance against Hollands & Blair and in doing so increased their lead to eight points.

The game got off to a quick start for Faversham as they took the lead in 50 Seconds when Kieron Campbell down the left crossed to the far post where Johan Caney-Brown saw his header saved by Harry Brooks, but it came out to Danny Parish who shot in from three yards.
Five minutes later Parish had another chance to increase Faversham’s lead when a ball into the area came out to him and from 20 yards his shot went just past the post. Faversham were enjoying a lot of possession and in the 16th minute Campbell 25 yards out saw his shot pushed around the post by Brooks.
Then two minutes later Ben Gorham on the right crossed into the area for Tashi-Jay Kwayle whose flicked shot from ten yards went just over the bar. Eight minutes later another Campbell cross to the back post found Parish and his volleyed shot was pushed around the post by Brooks for a corner.

In the 39th minute Faversham got their reward for dominating this game when they scored their second, a free kick level with the 18-yard area on the right was fizzed in by Sam Hasler and Callum Davies flicked header hit the back of the net. In the 41st minute Blair had their first chance of the game when a corner into the area saw a header saved by Archie Burford.
Half time arrived and Tommy Warrilow would have been pleased with their performance while Darren Blackburn would want more from his side.
The second half was slow to get going then in the 53rd minute Bryan was put through and he ran on to the edge of the area but blazed his shot well over the bar.
Blair thought they had got a goal back when Joe Thomas was found in the area on the right and his cross shot was put into the net by Murisku Batula’s hand and a free kick was given.
The game went a bit quiet as both sides gave the ball away then in the 82nd minute a Blair corner into the area bounced around before eventually being cleared and then two minutes later a Sam Bailey free kick from 25 yards out forced Burford to push it around the post for a corner.
As the game was getting close to finish Blair was awarded a penalty in the 95th minute when a ball into the area saw Tariq Ossai foul a Blair player, up stepped Batula who hit it into the bottom right hand corner.
The final whistle went and joy for Faversham and their supporters, it would have been harsh on them if they hadn’t got the three points as their first half performance deserved it even if the second was a bit flat.
