Faversham Town got three points with a last minute winner against a hard working Broadbridge Heath side and stay in fourth place.

They showed their character by getting back in this game and then getting the winner which the majority of the crowd erupted in joy.
Faversham came out of the blocks the quickest and for ten minutes dominated possession, the first half chance came in the second minute when Kieron Campbell on the left swung in a cross which Tommy Fagg rose and his header went just over the bar.
Broadbridge survived this and started to get into the game and in the twentieth minute Mason Doughty received the ball on the right wing, went into the area but shot wide, two minutes later Tashi-Jay Kwayie picked up a loose ball went forward and saw his thirty yard shot saved by Alfie Hadfield’s leg as he was back peddling.
In the twenty fifth minute Zac Young controlled a cross into the area but shot wide.
Two minutes later Kwayie running across the field saw his twenty yard shot go just wide. Another chance went a begging in the thirty sixth minute when Bradley Simms’ cross into the area found Kwayie but his flicked header went wide.
The very next minute Broadbridge took the lead when Young saw his twenty yard shot parried away by Mitchell Beeney but to Doughty who knocked it into the goal via the far post.
This shook the crowd and the players of Faversham and they did have a few chances to equalise but it did not happen.
In the forty first minute Nathan Wood twenty yards out tried his luck but it curled past the post, then in the forty fifth minute Campbell tackled a defender in the area and the ball came to Kwayie but under pressure he shot over the bar and in the second minute of added on time a Simms cross saw Fagg’s header come back of the cross bar to Kwayie but his header went wide.
The second half started with Faversham upping their tempo and in the fifty sixth minute Kwayie received the ball on the edge of the area and he turned and shot but it went over the bar, then five minutes later Fagg saw his twenty yard snapshot parried away by Hadfield and cleared.
With all this pressure it was only time before Faversham would equalise and in the seventy second minute a Simms long throw into the area caused havoc with Hadfield flapping at it and the ball came out to Matt Newman who shot home from three yards.
Goals bring confidence and Faversham suddenly took control of the game and in the seventy ninth minute a Simms cross into the area saw Kwayie’s header tipped over the bar.
Time was running out for Faversham but in the third minute of added on time the crowd erupted when Wood on the right cut in and his cross to the back post found Fagg who headed in from three yards.
The referee started the game and then thirty seconds later blew for full time.
