Kent Cricket have confirmed that all-rounder Joey Evison will feature for Leicestershire in the next two rounds of Rothesay County Championship fixtures.

Evison will be available for the Foxes in two Division One fixtures, against Essex this weekend and Yorkshire next week, before returning to Kent for the resumption of the Vitality Blast.
Kent’s Director of Cricket, Simon Cook, said: “This is a good opportunity for Joey to play Division One cricket and at this stage of the season, second team cricket drops off, making regular first-team cricket increasingly important.
“This loan gives him the opportunity to gain valuable game time to strengthen his case to return to what is now a very competitive group.
“We look forward to following his progress over the next couple of weeks and welcoming him back afterwards.”
Speaking on his return to the Foxes, Joey Evison said: “I’m really pleased to be joining Leicestershire again. I enjoyed my time here when I was on loan in 2022 and I’ve got good memories of the Club.”
“It’s a great opportunity to get some Championship cricket under my belt and help the team over the next couple of games. I’m looking forward to meeting up with the squad and getting started.”
Leicestershire’s Director of Cricket Claude Henderson welcomed the move: “We’re delighted to bring Joey back to Leicestershire. He’s a player we know well from his previous spell with us and he’s developed significantly since then.”
“His all-round qualities give us great flexibility and balance. He has been performing well for Kent this season, contributing important runs and wickets, and we feel he’ll be a strong addition to the group for the next two Championship matches.”
The 24-year-old will be available for the Foxes’ next two Rothesay County Championship fixtures, against Essex this weekend and Yorkshire next week.
