Erith Town v Snodland Town preview

Stanmore Stadium, Bayliss Avenue, hosts a Kent Senior Trophy quarter Final when Erith Town entertain Snodland Town this evening.

Frozen conditions on Saturday meant that the tie could not be played on the scheduled date and both teams will be hoping that Storm Isha doesn’t cause a further postponement. The other three quarter finals were played and the victorious team on Tuesday will join Croydon, Larkfield & New Hythe, and Whitstable Town in the semi-finals.

To get this far, the Dockers won six-one at Sutton Athletic, including a hat-trick by Henry Arnold. That put them into the second round when goals by Tom Ash and Joe Chalker helped them to a two-nil home win against Fisher.

Jack Bath scored a late first round winner for Snodland when they won two-one at Deal Town and they were again two-one winners, this time at home, when they defeated Kennington. Francis Babalola and Matt Gething were on target.

There is just one point and one place between the two clubs in the Southern Counties East Football League with both teams harbouring promotion ambitions. The Dockers are currently in eighth place but have played one game more than their visitors so a competitive game is anticipated.
