Erith Town raise money “For Jimmy”

Erith Town have announced their delight that £1,800 was raised at the Sevenoaks Town game at the end of last season for their nominated charity ‘For Jimmy’.

The club raised £900 on the day, with generous donations from the Sevenoaks Town Chairman, Paul Lansdale and the match officials also donating their match fee.

The sum was match funded by HSBC and Erith Town thanked Jackie Deveney for arranging this plus everyone who contributed to the amount for such a worthwhile cause.

For Jimmy is a charity based in Lee Green in memory of Jimmy Mizen who was murdered in 2008. The charity works with schools all over the United Kingdom, where Margaret and Barry share Jimmy’s story and help young people make their local communities safer, so they can feel safe when walking home.
