Sunday afternoon football takes place at the Acclaim Handling Community Stadium, Park View Road when Erith and Belvedere host Fisher in the Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division.

Currently in fifth place, the Deres are six places ahead of the visitors however, only four points separate the two teams and Fisher have played three games fewer.
On Tuesday, Erith travelled to Corinthian and won four-two. Danny Lear put the visitors ahead in the second minute and Tyller Davis-Whitlock doubled their lead seven minutes before half time. Freddie Baker added a third eleven minutes after the break and Tommy Whitnell made it four-nil with twenty minutes remaining. Thomas Mitcham’s brace for Corinthian in the last ten minutes gave them some reward for their efforts.
Having not had a midweek game, Fisher will have had an eight day break when they take to the pitch at Park View Road in Welling. They visited Hythe Town last Saturday and won two-nil. Courtney Barrington gave them a half time lead and Rafael Garcia’s goal midway through the second half gave them breathing space to see out the match.
In the two matches between Erith and Fisher last season, each game was won by the team hosting. When they first met in August 2024, with the Deres at home, the hosts held a half time lead through a goal by Davis-Whitlock.
However, it looked like the honours would be shared when Edward Sata levelled with one minute remaining. The Deres had other ideas and won it with a goal in the second minute of stoppage time with Donnell Anderson scoring the decider.
Then, in the return match in December, Kesna Clarke put Fisher ahead in the sixth minute and Flavio Jumo doubled their lead shortly before half time. There was no scoring in the second half and the team from Rotherhithe claimed the spoils.
Although still early in the season, both teams will be fighting for the three points that would take them closer to new league leaders Bearsted.
