On Saturday Erith and Belvedere host Snodland Town in the Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division.

Currently, the Deres are in eighth place in the Premier Division while Snodland are ninth with one point fewer having played two matches less.
Last weekend was a second consecutive free one for Erith with their last league game on the last Saturday in November when they won two-one away to Faversham Strike Force. Tommy Whitnell put the visitors ahead in just the fourth minute and Freddie Baker added a second just after the hour mark. They looked good for a clean sheet until Brooke Tiernan scored for Faversham deep into stoppage time.
However, Snodland were in action last Saturday when they won three-two at home to Holmesdale. Matt Self put them ahead midway through the first half but Lewis Keywood levelled ten minutes before half time. Chris Alhassan put them back ahead with quarter of an hour remaining but Malachi Hudson equalised nine minutes later. Within sixty seconds Charlie Sheringham scored what turned out to be the winner for Snodland.
There has not been a league meeting between the two clubs yet this season, however, there were goals in both encounters last season. After a curtain raiser in July 2024 at Snodland ended at two apiece, the Deres won the return fixture at their Acclaim Handling Community Stadium in December.
Donnell Anderson put the hosts ahead in the ninth minute but Tristan Lock levelled just after the half hour mark. Sam Smith restored the Deres lead six minutes after the restart then a Baker penalty put them firmly in control. Although Kane Philips pulled one back in stoppage time, it was too little too late.
Both teams are keen to push for the play-offs in the New Year so will be going flat out for the three points on offer on Saturday.
