England Women’s Cricketers Lydia Greenway, Beth Morgan and Susie Rowe will be visiting Kent’s schools ahead of the Ashes.Susie Rowe (1)

In the run up to this summer’s Ashes, the trip will be promoting the game for Chance to Shine and Kent Cricket Board at Addington and Ashford on Monday 20th May, Canterbury on Tuesday 21st May and Maidstone on Wednesday 22nd May.

Greenway, Morgan and Rowe will be visiting clubs across Kent that week, working with an amalgamation of school girls exposing more young girls to cricket.

As part of the Ambassadors coaching tour in Kent, they will deliver 3 mornings of cricket skills sessions for invited school girls to attend, and an afternoon of Kwik cricket accommodation particular districts girls Kwik Cricket Festival.

These events will take place in Addington, Maidstone (Leeds and Broomfield) and Canterbury (Polo Farm).

Additionally the women will be the attraction for taster sessions in Ashford (Mersham CC.), Canterbury (Polo Farm) and Lewisham (Catford Wanderers). These Taster sessions are open to girls of all abilities aged 7 and over. The session is free of charge, and no booking is required as it is a drop-in session.

Chance to Shine Ambassadors and Kent Cricket Board Development Officers are working in conjunction to inspire a new generation of girls and support the growth and sustainability of local girls and women’s cricket clubs.

Kent Cricket Board’s Cricket Development Officer, Natasha Newman said: “We are delighted that three England cricketers are visiting our county and its schools and clubs. It will be a real inspiration for the girls to be coached by England Women’s cricketers and hopefully they will continue to play cricket and enjoy the game as a result.”

Ambassador Susie Rowe said: “I am passionate about giving girls the chance to play the sport I love. It’s great that my coaching role with Chance to Shine will inspire girls to become part of a rapidly growing sport for girls and join local cricket clubs”
