Edge appointed Darts Assistant Manager

Following the departure of Craig Belgrave, Roland Edge has been announced as Dartford’s new assistant manager.

Belgrave rejoined the Darts following Tony Burman’s appointment as interim manager in February, and followed his spell into assisting Adrian Pennock towards the end of the season.

Edge played with Pennock at Gillingham between 1997 and 2003, and their relationship will be renewed ahead of the 2024/25 campaign as they look to restore Dartford’s status in the National League South.

Being a Kent local, Edge had a successful playing career in the garden of England. His lengthy spell at Priestfield (consisting of 102 appearances) was followed by two stints at Folkestone Invicta, and 45 appearances for Maidstone United. He also spent time at Hibernian and Hull City.

In the 2022/23 season, Edge was appointed joint manager of Folkestone with Michael Everitt following the departure of Neil Cugley. However, in November 2023, Edge and Everitt were relieved of their duties by the club.
