Enfield Town secured a draw in another late comeback as Fleet felt the familiar recent frustrations of losing out on three points as a header in time added on cancelled out what looked like a winner from Josh Passley.

Fleet welcomed back Finlay Barnes, Tom Dallison, Mustapha Olagunju and Lennon Peake to the starting lineup on another wet evening at the Kuflink Stadium and in a scrappy opening spell, began to enjoy more forward play.

Passley and Charlie Seaman got through plenty of yards down the right while Jake Hessenthaler tried burying a shot from distance that Enfield blocked for a corner. The visitors were well organised and looking to catch Fleet out when pushing forward, with Lamar Reynolds unfortunate not to make more of an intercepted pass from Olagunju.
But it was the home side who went front shortly before the half-hour mark. Peake slung over a cross into the middle that Barnes headed into the danger area. Dom Samuel lurking just behind the last defender took it down, turned and converted for his 14th league goal of the season.
Enfield came straight back into it, however, just 90 seconds later. A ball was well laid into the path of Corie Andrews who arrowed a shot into the opposite corner to level things up again.

Fleet fans were appealing for a penalty minutes into the second-half when Toby Edser went for a cross but was bundled over by Xavier Benjamin, who had picked up a yellow card towards the end of the first 45.
And the men in red began to dominate possession in search of a breakthrough goal. Barnes tried his luck with a curling effort from the edge of the box while a ball in from Seaman almost caught goalkeeper Joe Wright out as he left it to bend wide of his far post.

Samuel had a couple of low efforts denied while Dallison went close from a corner while substitute Aaron Cosgrave almost released Samuel on goal as the Enfield defence managed to contain the chances.
They could do nothing about Passley’s goal on 82 minutes though. Barnes sent in a cross from the left that was cleared only as far as Passley and the Fleet No.7 took a touch on both feet before driving a shot from 18 yards that zipped into the corner for his first goal for the club.
But it was stoppage-time heartache again when deep into added time, a long throw from the left saw Bayley Brown and Ronny Nelson climb to get to it first and the ball skimmed off Nelson’s head and found the target for the equaliser.
Benjamin was yellow-carded for the second time for bundling Cosgrave over on the edge of the area but Seaman’s free-kick couldn’t restore the lead and the whistle went.
