Striker Tom Eaves has made a return to Gillingham to ease the League Two side’s injury issues.

The 34 year old makes a return to Priestfield having played for the Kent side between 2017 and 2019, scoring 40 goals in 97 appearances before joining Hull City.

Having signed a one year deal, Eaves could make his second Gills debut when Newport County visit ME7 this coming Saturday.

Eaves played for Northampton Town in League One last season, netting 10 times in 38 games having previously featured for Rotherham United and Hull City.

He arrived at Priestfield from Yeovil Town having started his career in the youth ranks at Crewe Alexandra and Oldham Athletic respectively.

On rejoining the club, Tom said: “I am delighted to be back and I am so grateful for the opportunity to return to a club I have such admiration for.”

“I honestly cannot wait to get going and see the fans at Priestfield. I am ready to go.”
