The Invicta Dynamos will begin their 2021/22 campaign with two challenge games against the Slough Jets on the weekend of 4th and 5th September before going on to compete in the NIHL South Division 1, NIHL Southern Cup, the London Cup and potentially the NIHL Southern Playoffs.

NIHL SOUTH DIVISION 1

Nine teams make up the NIHL South’s top tier this season. The Bracknell Hornets and Cardiff Fire have withdrawn from the competition and the Bristol Pitbulls are a new addition.

Teams will play each other four times on a two at home and two away basis for a total of 32 league fixtures. The team finishing in first place after 32 games will be crowned NIHL South Division 1 champions 2021/22 and progress to play the NIHL North Division 1 champions in a National Final to be held at Coventry on Sunday 1st May 2022.

NIHL South Division 1 teams are Bristol Pitbulls, Chelmsford Chieftains, Invicta Dynamos, Junior Raiders, Milton Keynes Thunder, Oxford City Stars, Slough Jets, Solent Devils and Streatham IHC.

NIHL SOUTHERN CUP

Nine teams will compete in the NIHL Southern Cup which has been divided into an East Group and a West Group.

EAST GROUP: Chelmsford Chieftains, Invicta Dynamos, Junior Raiders, Milton Keynes Thunder and Streatham IHC.

WEST GROUP: Bristol Pitbulls, Oxford City Stars, Slough Jets and Solent Devils.

Teams in each group will play each other twice on a one at home and one away basis however these results will be a duplication of the outcomes of the first two NIHL South Division 1 games between the sides and NOT separately played ties (i.e. some games will count towards both the NIHL South Division 1 AND the NIHL Southern Cup). The top two sides in each group will then progress to the two legged semi-finals to be played on a one at home and one away basis over the weekend of 11th and 12th December 2021:

Semi-final 1: Winner East Group v Runner-up West Group
Semi-final 2: Winner West Group v Runner-up East Group

The winners of the semi-final will progress to a two legged final played on a one at home and one away basis over the weekend of 15th and 16th January 2022 with the victors crowned NIHL Southern Cup champions 2021/22.

LONDON CUP

Four teams will compete in the ‘London Cup’ including the Chelmsford Chieftains, Invicta Dynamos, Junior Raiders and Streatham IHC.

Teams will play each other twice on a one at home and one away basis for a total of six fixtures. The team finishing in first position after six games will be crowned ‘London Cup’ champions 2021/22.

NIHL SOUTHERN PLAYOFFS

The top eight sides in the NIHL South Division 1 after all league games have been completed will progress to the playoffs. Beginning on the weekend of 16th and 17th April 2022 the eight sides will then face off in two legged quarterfinals played on a one at home and one away basis with matchups determined by league position as follows – 1st v 8th, 2nd v 7th, 3rd v 6th, 4th v 5th. The four remaining teams will then progress to a finals weekend to be held over the 23rd and 24th April 2022.
