Dover Athletic vs Maidenhead United preview

After an entertaining draw against Solihull Moors in the National League on Saturday, Dover are back in action tonight when they welcome Maidenhead United to Crabble.

Whites have the chance to leapfrog Torquay up into eighth if they win and other results go their way.

Last time out, Dover drew 1-1 with Solihull, but they would’ve felt disappointed not to take all three points after a dominant first half. They now have to look forward as they look to make it six games unbeaten in all competitions.

The home team have taken 32 points from 21 games and have won two of their last five National League games, whereas Maidenhead have picked up 25 points from their 22 games and have not won a game since 26th October where they beat Dover’s opponents last weekend Solihull Moors 1-0.

The visitors will be hoping to regroup after falling to a 3-2 defeat at home to Woking last Saturday, which was live on BT Sport, whilst Dover will be looking for a repeat of the reverse fixture that took place earlier on this season when goals from Kurtis Cumberbatch and Nassim L’Ghoul helped Dover to a 2-1 victory at York Road.

Dover’s big number nine Inih Effiong will be looking to add to his goals after reaching double figures for the season on Saturday, but Whites will have to keep an eye on Maidenhead’s centre forward Danny Whitehall who has scored seven in 20 National League games this season.
