Dover forced to postpone games

Dover Athletic have been forced to postpone their next four games after one of their players tested positive for Covid-19.

Andy Hessenthaler’s side were set to play their National League game at Maidenhead United on Tuesday evening, but the positive test news forced the postponement and the entire first team staff and players have now entered self-isolation for a period of 14 days in accordance with National League protocols and Public Health England guidelines.

It also means their next four scheduled National League fixtures, against Chesterfield at Crabble this Saturday, and against Solihull Moors at home on December 8th, will be postponed until a later date.

The same also applies to Dover Athletic’s games at Wrexham (December 12th) and Wealdstone (December 15th).

Dover Athletic are the latest Kent club forced to postpone their fixtures due to Covid-19 with Welling United and Ebbsfleet United also affected in recent weeks.
