Dover Athletic have signed centre back Bondz N’Gala just days after it looked like he was going to be with The Gills.

The 27-year old central defender was Eastleigh’s club record signing from League Two Barnet only back in November, joining up with former Gillingham boss Martin Allen once again and has put pen-to-paper with the Kent coast side for the rest of the season with an option to extend the deal.

N’Gala, who left Eastleigh by mutual consent on transfer deadline day, did sign for Gillingham last week, but the deal fell through due to FIFA regulations.

He agreed to terminate his contract with Gillingham to enable him to join Dover Athletic until the end of the season, but has agreed to return to The Gills for pre-season.

N’Gala could feature for the first time in Dover Athletic’s home clash with Wrexham on Saturday.
