Dover Athletic vs Yeovil Town preview

Dover Athletic look to get back to winning ways on Saturday as they welcome Yeovil Town to Crabble in Vanarama National League action.

Last time out, Whites lost 3-0 away to fellow playoff contenders Solihull Moors, but focus must turn away from that defeat as they look towards facing yet another playoff contender on Saturday.

The home side sit in 10th place with 53 points from 36 games and have won three of their last five games, which includes a 5-1 rout against AFC Fylde in their last home game. Meanwhile, Yeovil sit in fourth, with 57 points from 36 games, but have only won one in their last five.

In June 2019, Darren Sarll was the one chosen to come in to manage The Glovers as they looked to bounce back to the Football League at the first time of asking. In his time as manager, he’s won 19 of his 42 games, losing 13 and drawing 10. The former Head of Academy at Watford also won Manager of the Month back in September.

Whites will be looking for a similar result from the reverse fixture in November when they beat The Glovers 1-0 at Huish Park thanks to a goal from Scott Doe, who has since left for pastures new, joining Isthmian League North club Romford.

Dover will be looking to get back into the playoffs with a win, however they will need to watch out for the Irish duo of Rhys Murphy and Courtney Duffus who have 30 goals between them this season.
