Despite a difficult weekend at the latest round of the BMCRC season, Anthony Johnson still came away with two podium finishes.

Snetterton played host to the latest round, and it saw Johnson take third place in race one on Saturday and it was the same in the first race of the day on Sunday, and he finished with a solid fourth place in the final race of the weekend.
He brings us up to date with his race weekend:
Race One
P3 today at Snetterton. Slightly frustrated with how that one went
Had thought about making a change to the gearing before the race but decided to run with what I had – turned out to be the wrong choice. It made the race really difficult, and I lost a fair amount of time in quite a few areas.
We’ve made a pretty big change to the gearing now, so hopeful it’ll be an improvement for tomorrow and make the bike easier to ride

Two more races tomorrow. Onwards
Race Two
Another disappointing one. P3 – should have been P4 if I’m honest.
Gutted to see Sam Hirst Racing crash out of the lead at the final corner. He absolutely deserved that win.
Not going to sugarcoat it – the bike just feels awful and I can’t get it turned the way I need to. We’ve made some changes ahead of race 3 though, big thanks to Perry at Leask Racing – Precision Motorcycle Suspension for the help
Didn’t enjoy that one. On to the next I guess
Race 3 – P4
The changes we made before the race were meant to be an improvement but honestly the bike ended up feeling 10 times worse. I genuinely can’t even describe what it felt like – spent most of the race just trying not to run on in the braking zones and stay on the bike

Starting to think there might be an underlying issue somewhere, so we’re going to get the bike completely stripped down and go through it meticulously to hopefully sort it before Donington.
Not a great weekend overall but we still bagged some valuable points, so we’ll take that!
Looking forward to Donington in a few weeks – hopefully we’ll have the bike back to its full potential by then
