Stuart Emery was back on the podium at the latest round of the Retro Rallycross season last weekend, although the top step of the podium still eludes him.

Mondello Park hosted the second round of the four-round season, and Emery qualified on pole position for the final, and had to settle for a brace of third place finishes across the weekend. Being beaten in the final race by Pat Doran and Dan Swayland after some excellent racing.
After the weekend, Emery said: “The new Mondello Park layout is fast! So, to take some heat wins and be leading the final in round four against the still more powerful turbo cars, we should be (and are) really proud, but I can’t help but feel a little disappointed.
“We know the pace is in the car and hopefully our luck will change and the circuits later in the season will play to our strengths.
“Ben’jamin Sutton, Steve Sutton and Andy Emery thank you for your continued help and support this weekend, you kept the car running beautifully and the setup was spot on. Thanks also to Leo Nulty and Glenn Montgomery for the excellent commentary and kind words for the ‘flying brick’. It WILL have an ‘MV Ever Given’ sticker on for next year!
“All the Marshalls and volunteers that stood out in the Mondello sunshine (yes! Sunshine) all weekend and looked after us drivers.
“And finally last but most definitely not least to my lovely wife Donna. Happy Anniversary! 30 years married and 28 of those years supporting me in my rallycross addiction!!”
