Jake Dixon will finally get his 2026 World Superbike season underway this weekend as he heads to Aragon for his first round of the season.

He got injured during the pre-season test at Phillip Island, which was just a few days before the season opener, but following medical checks he has been declared fit to take part in FP1 today, and he will be hoping following that he can continue for the remainder of the weekend.
It will be a welcome return for Dixon who has spent the best part of three months recovering from a serious wrist injury, so it will if he is fit to ride the rest of the weekend his first taste of competitive action in the World Superbikes aboard the Honda.
Last week he was back on track at Misano during the official test. The sessions gave him the chance to evaluate his physical condition as he rode the CBR1000RR-R on track for the first time since his accident in February.

Speaking ahead of the weekend, Dixon said: “I’m really happy to be back with the team and to finally start my season; this feels like round one for me. I’ve been declared fit, with a further check after FP1, and I appreciate the fact that everything is being handled so carefully by the medical staff and team.
“Health comes first, so we will take things step by step. For now, I still see this almost like part of the testing phase, because I don’t yet know how many laps, I’ll be able to make or exactly where we stand. It will be my first full dry weekend on the bike and my first race weekend with the team, so there are no expectations.
“We’ll build up gradually and see how things go. As for the track, I won here in 2024, so I have good memories of Aragón. We’ll try to make the most of the weekend.
