Jake Dixon had a disappointing weekend in the latest round of the Moto2 season from Qatar.

Having qualified in second place the championship leader was hoping for a better race day than it turned out to be, with him crashing out whilst fighting for fourth spot.
Jake enjoyed a good start and held position, but was then pushed back to fifth on lap three, where he was in the midst of a hectic 9-rider fight for victory.
After recovering some places, Jake found his rhythm mid-race and was chasing down Manuel Gonzalez in fourth when he crashed out at Turn 13 on lap 12.
Jake’s first non-score of the year means he now sits third in the World Championship with 59 points.

Speaking after the weekend, Dixon said: “It was an unfortunate day but these things can happen and I just need to learn from it. Ultimately, we had a great weekend here. I made a tiny mistake and went wide and on to the kerb and a dirty part of the track and I went down.
“It’s racing. But it’s not how we get knocked down, it’s how we get back up that determines how the rest of the year goes. I’ll be strong. I have a strong team around me.
“We were riding well here, riding fast. I’m just looking forward to getting back out there and enjoying myself on the bike again. I’m sorry to the team but let’s see what we can do in the next races.
