Difficult weekend for Team Hard
Difficult weekend for Team Hard

Detling based Team Hard Racing had a difficult weekend at the latest round of the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship from Thruxton.

A 10th place finish in race one was the highlight of the weekend and a case of what might have been for Bobby Thompson and the rest of the Team Hard squad. Unfortunately he was to be a DNF in race two and as a result of the stone through is radiator in the race he couldn’t take to the grid for the final race of the weekend.

Dexter Patterson was once again a consistent performer and he left Thruxton as the Jack Sears Trophy leader following to 15th place finishes in races two and three, having just missed out on a points finish in race one.

Dan Lloyd looked like he could be on for a good weekend when he qualified 12th for race one, but he didn’t finish the race and could only manage 21st and 18th in the subsequent races.

Jack Butel and Nic Hamilton along with Jade Edwards had some entertaining races across the weekend, without troubling the points unfortunately.

Speaking after the weekend, Dexter Patterson said: “Overall I have to say it was a good weekend on my side of the garage as I come away leading the Jack Sears Trophy and securing a double points finish.

We are getting closer every weekend to Bobby and Dan which is encouraging as it shows we are making progress with the car and I’m confident of scoring a solid haul of points next time out at Oulton Park.”
