Difficult weekend for Crees
Difficult weekend for Crees

It was another tough weekend for Michael Crees as he battled hard in the latest round of the Kwik Fit Touring Car Championship at Donington Park.

Unfortunately for Crees he couldn’t trouble the points finishes in any one of the three races across the weekend.

Having qualified on the tenth row of the grid, Crees will have been hoping he could move forward and come away with a good haul of points across the weekend.

In race one he was to cross the line in P20 just behind Stephen Jelley in the BMW. In race two a 20th place start meant he was up against it and came home in P19.

The final race of the weekend would be the best one of the entire weekend for Crees as he finished P17 and just outside the points.

Speaking after the weekend, Crees said:

“Another weekend of what could have been from my side of the garage. We were quick in qualifying but didn’t quite get the lap together to put us around the top 10 which we deserved.

“Sadly on race day, we suffered with hybrid issues in every race which really stopped any chance we had of making decent progress through the field. We nearly managed to get into the points in race 3 but with one hand tied behind our back, it was tough out there.”
