The Lidsey brothers from Dartford had differing weekends in the latest round of the Michelin Clio Cup Series last weekend.Tyler Lidsey - Oulton Park 1 - Jakob Ebery

Oulton Park played host to the latest round of the season and the younger of the Dartford racing brothers, finished with two more podium finishes, while Brett netted two top ten finishes.

Enjoying a superb debut season in racing this year, Tyler qualified fourth on the grid for both races and after claiming third position in round 10 he went one better in round 11 later in the day with a very hard-earned second place.

Under immense pressure from Jake Honour (Devizes) throughout the second contest, 20Ten Racing driver Lidsey didn’t put a wheel wrong as he soaked up the attention and held on to his runner-up placing with a great performance.

Speaking after another successful weekend, he said: “At the start of race two I was more focused on [Luke] Pinder in the lead, then Jake [Honour] started to close in. One minute I saw him in my mirrors, the next thing we were side-by-side into the chicane and then the Race Series cars came through to lap us and I was able to keep second. I have to keep reminding myself it’s my first season, we’re finishing races and getting on alright with it so I’m really happy.”Tyler Lidsey - Oulton Park - Jakob Ebery

Lidsey’s older brother Brett, who competes in the headline Michelin Clio Cup Race Series with 20Ten, finished fifth in the first race but missed out on converting a front-row start for race two into a podium bid following an unfortunate spin on lap six at Cascades. He eventually finished in eighth place but the points scored put him third in the standings.

Next stop for the Michelin Clio Cup Race Series and Road Series will be the season finale five weeks from now, on 19th/20th September, at Silverstone International Circuit in Northamptonshire.
