Denly to make final Kent appearance

Kent Cricket have confirmed that Joe Denly will be making the final appearance of his 23-year professional career this Friday at the St Lawrence Ground, Canterbury.

The 40-year-old will bow out from the game as a Kent player, when the Spitfires take on Somerset in the Men’s Metro Bank One Day Cup.

215 appearances at the St Lawrence Ground later, the first man born in Canterbury to play Test cricket for England will end his career on his 217th, another 50-Over fixture.
