Dartford have signed young striker Tony Garrod from Blue Square Bet South rivals Farnborough.

Garrod signed for Boro from Southampton at the start of the season, and is a hard working forward with a physical presence.

The 20-year-old signed a one-year deal at Cherrywood Road in June after coming through the ranks at Southampton, where he was a key player in their under-21 team.

He came highly recommended by Saints`s academy director Jason Dodd and has the talent to play at a higher level.

He provided a different option up front for then manager Garry Haylock, but was released by new boss Spencer Day last week.
