Dartford vs Hampton & Richmond Borough preview

Fellow playoff hopefuls Hampton and Richmond Borough are the visitors to Princes Park tomorrow as both teams will go into the game full of confidence.

Last weekend a brace from Darren McQueen, a goal apiece for Liam Nash and Amrit Bansal-McNulty and an own goal helped Dartford to a 5-1 win away to Chippenham Town.

Whilst Dartford were enjoying their away day, Hampton and Richmond Borough were having a party at home. They ran out 7-1 winners against bottom of the table Hungerford.

The Darts temporarily moved up to 6th place last weekend but have dropped back to 7th after Dorking won their game in hand midweek. Hampton are only two places below and have played two games less than Dartford.

Everything suggests an even game that should provide goals, Dartford are looking for a fifth straight win and clean sheet at home meanwhile The Beavers haven’t lost an away league match since early November.

At The Beveree earlier this season Dartford won 2-1. Ky Marsh-Brown opened the scoring before Jake Gray levelled. Elliott Romain secured the three points from the penalty spot.

Last season this fixture ended 2-2. The visitors twice led through Oliver Sprague and Chris Dickson. Charlie Sheringham scored from the penalty spot in between and McQueen equalised in added time.

Steve King will be forced into one change from last Saturday’s win with Bansal-McNulty serving a one match suspension.

With a potential storm on the horizon Dartford will be hoping to dampen Hampton’s playoff hopes at a home ground that is fast becoming the fortress it used to be.
