Gareth Ainsworth has added to his defensive options with the signing of centre-back Jack Daley.

Daley joins the club on a season long loan deal from Championship side Middlesborough.

Although he is yet to feature for Middlesborough he is a highly rated prospect at the club.

Daley could be involved in Tuesday night’s fixture against Chesterfield at the SMH Group Stadium. 

The defender, who recently signed a new contract at the Riverside Stadium, joined ‘Boro last summer from Newcastle Blue Star following a successful trial period. 

Speaking about the loan, he said: “I like a duel and keeping goals out. I am expecting League 2 to be more physical and more demanding fitness wise.

“I want to come in and play as many games as I can.”
