Dack extends stay with Gills

Midfielder Bradley Dack has today put pen to paper on a contract that will see him remain with Gillingham for the 2026/27 season.

The club triggered the option that they had to keep Dack for a further season at the MEMS Priestfield, and after the season he has had it is easy to see why he is staying for a further year.

Dack, 32, has played 57 times for the club since rejoining for a second spell in the summer of 2024, and has scored eight goals in all competitions.

In his first spell, lasting more than five years, he netted 38 times in 185 appearances before signing for Blackburn in the summer of 2017. He went on to play for Sunderland before making his return to Kent.

He has captained the side on a number of occasions and has moved into the top 30 in the club’s all-time appearance records. He sits 26th when it comes to total goals scored.

Speaking about extending his time at the club, he said: “I am really happy. The club means an awful lot to me and my family, and I just want us to do well.

“We have five games left and we want to get as many points as we can. It will probably look a bit different next year, but we need to be ready to go from the start.”
