Cronin makes Ebbsfleet return

Goalkeeper Lance Cronin is back with Ebbsfleet United just eighteen months after leaving them for Gillingham.

The Bristol Rovers keeper is back at Stonebridge Road on loan for a month after Preston Edwards was sent off against Bath City on Saturday afternoon.

Cronin has found opportunities limited at the Pirates since signing for them back in the summer, making just the one substitute appearance and has come back to Ebbsfleet United with Edwards suspended for the next three games.

The 26 old shot stopper is a crowd favourite at Stonebridge Road having made 198 appearances for the club between 2006 and 2010.

“Lance joins us on a month’s loan” said Daish to the club’s official website. “I have no reservations about bringing him back to the club which he served with distinction and I know the fans will give him a warm welcome.”

Cronin is expected to take his place in the Ebbsfleet United side when they face Fleetwood Town on Tuesday night and will should be in goal when they play Southport at Stonebridge Road on Saturday.
