Following on from Saturday’s much needed league win, Cray Wanderers are in London Senior Cup First Round action on Wednesday night when they take on Tooting & Mitcham Utd at Hayes Lane.

The Wands won 3-1 away at Wingate & Finchley at the weekend thanks to goals from Gary Lockyer, Frankie Raymond and Anthony Cook, which moved them up to seventeenth in the Isthmian League Premier Division with 13 points from 13 games.

Manager Neil Smith has added loan signing Emmanuel Kwartchey from Leyton Orient to the squad to improve his options in defence and Antonio Dembele from Harrow Borough, both made their debuts from the bench at Wingate & Finchley.   

Tooting & Mitcham Utd are currently sixth in the Combined Counties League Premier Division South, following relegation from the Isthmian League last season.

Manager Jamie Byatt’s side won 3-1 at home to Sheerwater last time out with two goals from Shay Brennan and Blake Loyza, which moved them on to 23 points from 13 league matches.

Their scheduled game away at Redhill on Saturday was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

The two sides were regular opponents in their Isthmian League Division One South days, but are now two divisiosn apart. The winners of this tie with be at home to Fisher in the next round.
