Cray Wanderers return to Isthmian League Premier Division at Hayes Lane on Boxing Day afternoon when they take on Leatherhead.

The injury hit Wands go into the game having lost their last two matches, but still sit in sixth place in the table with 34 points from 20 league games played in their first season up since promotion.

On Saturday Tony Russell’s side lost 3-2 at Worthing in the League Cup, Bradley Pritchard and Karl Dent scoring in the second half. Cray lost 7-2 at Bognor Regis Town the previous weekend, top scorer Joe Taylor netting tice. Taylor was rested for the Worthing game, but the striker who has notched 23 goals already this campaign looks set to return for the festive fixture. 

Leatherhead travel up from Surrey in tenth with 28 points from 18 matches, last Saturday The Tanners drew 0-0 at Margate and they are unbeaten in five matches as they move closer to the play off places.

The teams are yet to meet this season, but Nikki Bull’s side are known to be strong going forward and will give The Wands a tough test as both sides look to keep in touch with the top five.   

Cray Wands lost winger Andre Coker to Bromley last Friday and brought in some under 18 players in Archie Daniels & Charlie Al Hassan to boost the squad the following day at Worthing, with Barney Williams and Tom Phipp injured.                   

Admission Prices are £10 for adults and £5 for concessions, but season ticket holders of Premier League, Football League and National League sides can get in for only £5 upon presenting their ticket at the gate.
