Cray Wanderers v Whyteleafe preview

Cray Wanderers look to maintain their 100% start to the Bostik League Division One South East season on Wednesday night when they entertain Whyteleafe at Hayes Lane.

The Wands made it six wins out of six in the league on Saturday with a hard fought 4-3 win over Hythe Town, which kept them at the top of the table.

Whyteleafe travel over from Surrey sitting in fifth with 12 points from five games, they without a game on Saturday, but the previous weekend saw them suffer their first loss in the league 2-1 at Sittingbourne.

The Wands were without Michael Power, Karl Dent or Ben Mundele on Saturday, but still kept the run going, playing some great football. They lost Aaron Rhule and Mitchell Nelson to injury during the match and manager Tony Russell will be hoping that some of the casualties will be available again on Wednesday.

When the two sides met at Hayes Lane in March last season The Wands ran out 5-1 winners.

This should be another entertaining game between two sides keen to build on a good start to their campaigns at the top end of the table.

Entrance is 310 for adults and £5 for concessions, season ticket holders of Premier League, Football League and National League sides can get in for only £5.
