Cray Wanderers v Ramsgate preview

Cray Wanderers return to Isthmian League Premier Division action on Satruday afternoon when they entertain Ramsgate at Flamingo Park.

The Wands go into the game having won 3-2 away at St Albans City last weekend courtesy of a debut goal from Max Fiddes and two from Alex Hernandez.

The win sees Tim O’Shea’s side sitting sixth in the table with 46 points from 29 league games, one point off the play off places.

Ramsgate make the journey across Kent from the coast sitting in ninth with 40 points from 28 matches. Last weekend The Rams won 1-0 away at Wingate & Finchley, Mitchell May with the vital goal in the second half.

Lee Martin’s team are on an impressive run of six straight wins, which has pulled them back into the play off picture.

The Rams were promoted from Division One South East last season, finishing as champions, but have since changed managers with Lee Martin taking over in November.

When the sides met at Southwood Stadium in September, the game ended 1-1. Lateef Adaja putting The Wands in front, with Alfie Paxman equalising from the penalty spot, all within the first eight minutes of the match. This game looks set to be equally as close between to in form teams looking to keep in touch with the top six.

Tickets are £15 for adults, £10 for concessions, £5 for under 18s and under 16s are free. The club is also running a bring a freind for a fiver scheme, which is only available on the gate.

There is also an excellent printed programme for £3. Kick off is at 3pm.
