Cray Wanderers v Dulwich Hamlet preview

Following last weekend’s FA Trophy exit, Cray Wanderers are back in Isthmian League Premier Division action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Dulwich Hamlet at Hayes Lane.

The Wands go into the game sitting in seventeenth place with 16 points from 14 league games, Neil Smith’s side have won their last two league matches, but were knocked out of the FA Trophy away at Weston Super Mare on Saturday losing 4-1 to the National League South side, Gary Lockyer with the opening goal of the game for Cray.

Dulwich make the short trip across South East London sitting in eleventh place with 19 points from 15 league matches. Hamlet won 3-1 at home to Folkestone Invicta last weekend, Michael Chambers, Danny Mills & Riley Scott on target for Hakan Hayrettin’s side, who are slowly finding their feet after relegation from National league South last season.

Despite being in different leagues last season the sides did meet in the London Senior Cup at Champion Hill, with Dulwich coming out 4-3 winners in a very entertaining game and this looks set to be another close fought encounter between two teams finding some form in the league.

To give the game even more interest The Wands have a number of former Dulwich players in their ranks this season including Nyren Clunis, Jack Holland Frankie Raymond, Anthony Cook & George Porter, so there will be familiar faces on show for the Hamlet travelling support.

Entrance for the game is £12 for adults and £6 for concession, with an excellent printed programme for £2, kick off is at 3pm.
