Following on from their London Senior Cup victory on Wednesday night, Cray Wanderers return to Isthmian League Premier Division action on Saturday afternoon when they entertain Carshalton Athletic at Hayes Lane.

The Wands beat Tooting & Mitcham Utd 4-2 in the London Senior Cup in midweek with two goals from Yahaya Bamba, plus one Gary Lockyer and Nyren Clunis.

In their last league outing Neil Smith’s side won 3-1 away at Wingate & Finchley, which took them out of the bottom four for the first time this season up to seventeenth with 13 points from 13 league games. 

Carshalton travel over from Surrey sitting in fifth place with 22 points from 13 games, last Saturday The Robins won 3-1 at home to Folkestone Invicta with goals from Oluwabunmi Babajide, Luke Read & Mark Marshall.

Carshalton have former Wanderer Danny Bassett in their squad and he has notched seven league goals so far this season, having been prolific last term in his one season for Cray, scoring fifteen.

Manager Peter Adeniyi returned to the club over the summer and has started his second spell in impressive fashion as The Robins look to press for promotion.

When the teams met last season at Hayes Lane in February, The Wands won 2-1 with goals from Bassett & Tom Derry, Matthew Vigor on target for Carshalton. This match looks set to be equally as entertaining & tight as both sides look to build on wins last time out.   

Entrance for the game is £12 for adults and £6 for concessions with an excellent printed programme at £2. Kick off is at 3pm.
