Cray Wanderers are back in Isthmian League Premier Division action at Hayes Lane on Saturday when their entertain Canvey Island.

Cray have draw one and lost one of their opening two league games, picking up their first point with a 2-2 draw at home to Bognor Regis Town on Wednesday night.

Former Cray midfielder Luca Alban on the scoresheet for The Gulls along with doubles from Evans Kouassi and Danny Parrish, having gone one down in the first minute.

Brad Wellmen’s islanders were promoted from Division One North last season via the play offs, while The Wands avoided relegation on the final day of the season under newly arrived manager Neil Smith who has made some major changes to his squad over the summer.

Both teams will be keen to build on their first points picked up in midweek and keep their campaigns moving in the right direction.

Entrance for the game is £12 for adults and £6 for concessions, with an excellent printed programme for £2.
