Saturday afternoon sees an intriguing match up between two promotion chasing sides in the Ryman League Division One North as second place Cray Wanderers host eighth place Brightlingsea Regent at Hayes Lane.

Having relinquished top spot over the Christmas period The Wands will be aiming to rediscover winning ways having only picked up a single point from their last two matches and been over taken by AFC Sudbury, with other sides also closing in.

Brightlingsea travel down from the Essex coast in a good run of form with two wins and two draws so far in 2016, on Tuesday night they drew 2-2 with fellow challengers Thurrock, equalising in the last minute of the game.

Regent are in their second Ryman League season following promotion from the Essex Senior League have established themselves at this level and are now in touching distance of the play off spots.

Tony Russell will be keen for his side to make sure they stay in the top five also as the conditions get colder and the competition gets hotter.
