Cray Wanderers v Aveley preview

Cray Wanderers are back in Isthmian League Premier Division action on Saturday afternoon when they entertain Aveley at Hayes Lane.

The Wands currently sit in seventh place with twenty points from thirteen league games.

Neil Smith’s side were without a game at the weekend, but on Wednesday night they beat Leyton Orient 1-0 in the London Senior Cup First Round thanks to a second half goal from Michael Ademiluyi.

The Wands have brought in centre back loan signing Freddie Carter from Gillingham, while striker Yahaya Bamba has joined from Sevenoaks Town.

Aveley are currently fourth in the table with twenty six points from thirteen league matches.

On Tuesday night they drew 1-1 away at Lewes, George Sykes with the early goal for The Millers, before Lewes equalised through a penalty in the second half.

James Webster’s side are on an unbeaten run of four games and have been up around the top of the table all season so far, having been promoted from Division One North in their last campaign as Champions.

This looks set to be a close fought, entertaining encounter between two good sides competing up around the play off spots.

Entrance for the game is £12 for adults and £6 for concessions, with an excellent printed programme at £2. Bromley FC adult season ticket holders can watch the game for £6.
