Cray Wanderers 0-0 Carshalton Athletic

In the battle between the two bottom sides things ended all square despite the visitors dominating most of the game and missing a multitude of chances.Cray Wanderers

To mark Non-League Day Cray admitted season ticket holders of any other club for half price and also donated a percentage to Breast Cancer Research and the extra numbers on the gate were rewarded with an entertaining game even if it ended up scoreless.

From the kick off The Robins caused The Wands problems at the back with Bradford & Woodley forcing saves from Andy Walker in the home goal.

In an open game it was Carshalton who created the better chances, but Paco-Gomez and Bradford wasted their opportunities. For Cray their only chance came when Alex Stavrinou’s header was saved by Snedker late on.

The second half continued in the same vein with Carshalton pressing for a break through, Bradley shot wide, Hogg hit a free kick over and Moraes hit the post with a header from a free kick.

Both managers tried making changes to influence the game, but with Cray still holding on Woodley had two more good chances saved by Walker and the custodian also denied Aikonbare just before the final whistle to preserve a vital point for Ian Jenkins side.

Having lost 7-1 in their previous game this was a much needed clean sheet for The Wands who entertain Maidstone Utd at Hayes Lane on Wednesday night.
