There was little to choose between Cray Valley (PM) and Faversham Town in their Isthmian League South East Division battle.

In a match played at a fast pace, clear cut chances were at a premium and a draw was probably a just result. The visitors went in at half time one-nil up and the Millers levelled five minutes after the break. Both teams had late goals disallowed for offside before they had to settle for a point apiece.
Jack Kirby almost put Cray ahead in the first minute when his low shot flew back out off the upright then the visitors’ Troy Howard tried his luck from distance giving Harrison Chamberlain a comfortable save. Denzel Gayle cut in from the right for the Millers and his shot went just beyond the far post.

Then, at the other end, Eniye Amgbaduba turned to make space for himself inside the penalty area before snatching his shot wide of the near post. Kirby came close again with a searing drive that was tipped over by a diving Tom Hadler.
However, it was the visitors who went ahead. Nathan Wood did superbly to get away down the left before he squared to Amgbaduba, he moved it on to Howard, and the wide man swept it home for his first goal since joining from Welling United.

Four minutes into the second period, Cray levelled. Montel Agyemang delivered a free kick and it fell for Marvel Ekpiteta who bundled it in from close range for his second goal in two matches.
Jack Parter had a shot deflected wide for the Lilywhites then a cross by Kirby was flicked on by Freddie Parker to Dan Vaughan but the angle was too tight and he could only fire into the side netting.
After Faversham had a goal disallowed for offside, Wood shot wide from the edge of the area. It was then the Millers’ turn to think they had won it when Dayo Santanna’s shot was turned over the line by Bailee Cain only for their joy to turn to despair.

One last chance fell the way of the hosts when veteran striker Chris Dickson burst through and flicked it goalwards but Hadler denied him by pushing it around the near post.
Both teams are on the road on Saturday with Faversham playing a local derby at Sittingbourne while the Millers visit Horley Town.
