Cray to play first 3G game
Cray Wanderers get their first chance to play on the new Hayes Lane 3G pitch this Thursday night when they entertain Dorking Wanderers in a pre-season friendly.

The game gives the Black & Ambers a vital opportunity to see how the new surface at Bromley plays prior to the start of their Bostick League Division One South campaign.

Entrance for the game is £6 for adults and £3 for concessions.

The Wands have had a good pre-season so far playing Charlton U 23s and a host of local sides, they will face strong opposition in Wanderers who were promoted to The Bostick League Premier Division via the play offs in May.

Tony Russell has added some familiar faces to the squad in Joe Vines and Michael Power, but has also given youth a chance as he builds towards the league kick off at home to Thamesmead Town on 12th August.

Thursday night also sees the launch of the latest publication from Jerry Dowlen in The Best of Cray Chatter Volume 2, containing highlights from the club’s fanzine’s history, which will be on sale at the ground at £5.

Some other good news from the club saw Cray’s former winger Brandon Scott has join Reading from the Jamie Vardy Academy who he signed up with at the end of last season. Scott attracted a lot of attention from league clubs last Autumn and has now been given the chance to fulfil his huge potential.
