Smith has retained the services of versatile midfielder & captain Anthony Cook along with full back Freddy Barton and added midfielder Sam Skeffington who had a month on loan with Cray from Bromley last season.

Defender Harold Joseph has joined from Enfield Town, with midfielder Billy Crook coming in from Aveley and strikers Dan Bassett from Carshalton Athletic & Tom Derry from Welling Utd as the new look squad takes shape.

Smith took over as manager along with his assistant Tim O’Shea at the end of March, eventually avoiding relegation on the final day of the season and they have been working over the summer to build a team for the new campaign.
